Food & Nutrition Security (FNS)
Our Goal
In rural communities especially in the developing
countries, many households are faced with serious
undernutrition and malnutrition. This can be linked
to receding agricultural productivity due to land
degradation, climate change, and poverty.
Therefore, there is urgent need for innovative
interventions that are conscious to the nutritional
needs of the society and impacts of climate
change.

At SAFI, we seek to address this issue of FNS in a way that improves the production capacity of the farms while promoting climate change adaptation and mitigation. Our activities include.
- Training and empowering farmers on climatesmart agricultural (CSA) interventions;
- Supporting farmers to implement agroforestry using various fruit trees for nutrition diversification
- Empower farmers’ groups through aquaculture, apiculture and other indigenous livestock
